Giving damaged cards a second chance.

At Restored Rarity, restoration goes far beyond surface cleaning. It is a careful, detail-driven process designed to bring each card as close as possible to its original appearance while preserving the character and history that make it unique.
From deep creases, dents, and pressure marks to edge damage, surface imperfections, warping, delamination, and years of accumulated wear, every card presents a different challenge. That's why there is no one-size-fits-all approach. Each card is individually evaluated, and the restoration process is tailored to its specific condition, construction, and damage.
Some cards respond beautifully in a single session. Others require multiple rounds, specialized techniques, and patience to address years of wear or the card's natural tendency to retain a “memory” of previous damage. Every step is approached carefully and deliberately, with the goal of achieving the best result the card can realistically provide.
Restoration is as much about judgment and patience as it is technique. Knowing how a card responds, when to continue, when to adjust the approach, and when the best possible result has been achieved is an important part of the process.
Whether you're looking to revive a childhood favorite, improve the presentation of a centerpiece in your collection, prepare a card for grading evaluation, or give new life to a card you thought was beyond saving, Restored Rarity is dedicated to the cards worth preserving.
Your collection has a history. Let us preserve it.

Every tier below builds on services offered from the previous. Pick the one that matches how far your card needs to go.
For cards valued at $500 or less in Near Mint condition, no value surcharge applies.
For cards valued over $500, a surcharge is added to the selected service price based on the card's current Near Mint TCG market value: 10% of that value once it's over $500, rounded up to the nearest dollar. Once a card's Near Mint value exceeds $1,500, the rate increases to 12%.
Tell me about your card(s) and what they need. Photos appreciated — front and back: Submitting more than one card? Add as many as you need below.
Read through before submitting or shipping your cards.
Start by completing the Restored Rarity Submission Form above. You'll provide your contact information, details about each card, its estimated Near Mint value, and the cleaning or restoration service you're interested in.
Submitting the form begins the process, but it does not mean you should ship your cards yet.
Once your form has been submitted, you'll receive an automatic confirmation email letting you know your request was successfully received.
From there, I'll personally review your submission and follow up by email. We'll confirm your requested services, discuss any questions about the cards or damage, review shipping details and costs, and provide an estimated restoration timeline.
Shipping costs are passed through to the customer and are separate from the cost of your selected services.
During our initial communication, I'll confirm the shipping method, cost, insurance/value information, and other necessary details with you. Once everything is confirmed and I'm ready to receive your submission, I'll provide your shipping label and shipping instructions by email.
Return shipping will also be coordinated with you, with appropriate shipping and insurance based on the value of the cards being returned.
Cards should be packaged carefully to protect against movement, bending, moisture, and impact during transit.
I recommend following the general card-shipping practices outlined by PSA: cards should be individually protected with a penny sleeve and semi-rigid holder such as a Card Saver, kept in the same order as your submission when possible, and secured with appropriate rigid support and cushioning inside a sturdy shipping box.
Avoid packaging that places unnecessary pressure directly on the cards or allows them to move freely inside the package.
Specific packaging and shipping instructions will also be provided before you send your submission.
Once received, your cards will be documented and physically inspected. I'll compare their condition with the information provided on your submission and confirm that the requested services are appropriate for the damage present.
Photos don't always tell the entire story. If the physical inspection reveals additional damage, a different repair level, or something that changes the scope or cost of the restoration, I'll contact you before proceeding.
There are no surprise upgrades or additional repairs performed without communication when they would change what we originally discussed.
Turnaround time varies with every submission and will be discussed with you during our initial emails before you ship your cards.
Card restoration isn't a one-size-fits-all process. A cleaning or minor repair may be relatively straightforward, while significant creases, dents, lifting, edge damage, or delamination can require multiple rounds of treatment, different techniques, and appropriate drying or stabilization time.
Some damage can also have a natural tendency to retain “memory,” making patience and additional rounds necessary to achieve a more stable result.
The priority is always achieving the best and most stable result the card will realistically allow—not rushing a restoration to meet an arbitrary turnaround time.
If circumstances significantly change the expected timeline while your cards are with me, I'll communicate that with you.
No. If I discover damage that falls outside the service or repair level we originally discussed, I'll contact you first.
I'll explain what I found, what I recommend, and any difference in price before performing additional work that would change your approved service.
Cards with a Near Mint value of $500 or less do not have a card-value surcharge.
For cards valued over $500, a surcharge of 10% of the card's Near Mint value is added to the selected service price, rounded up to the nearest dollar. Once a card's Near Mint value exceeds $1,500, the surcharge rate increases to 12%.
No two damaged cards respond exactly the same way, so a specific cosmetic result cannot be guaranteed.
Restoration can significantly improve defects, but evidence of the original damage may sometimes remain. For example, a repaired crease may leave surface scarring, rubs, or changes to the foil appearance even though the crease itself has been corrected.
Damage memory can also occasionally cause a faint indication of previous damage to reappear after a restoration.
This is restoration, not alteration. The goal is to carefully correct what can be corrected while preserving the card and achieving the best result it will realistically allow.
No. Grade-Ready Evaluations are evaluations—not grading guarantees.
I can identify defects, address eligible issues, clean and prepare the card, and provide my assessment of its grading potential. However, PSA, TAG, CGC, BGS, or any other third-party grading company independently determines the final grade.
Communication is a major part of the Restored Rarity process. The email address provided on your submission form will be the primary method of communication for:
Submission confirmation and initial review, estimated turnaround, shipping labels and instructions, service or repair recommendations, pricing changes requiring approval, restoration updates when necessary, and completion, payment, and return shipping.
Please use an email address you regularly check and keep an eye on your inbox after submitting.
Once your restoration is complete, I'll contact you with the final details and coordinate getting your cards safely back to you.
Your cards will be securely packaged for their return trip, and return shipping and applicable insurance costs will be passed through to you and confirmed before shipment.
From the moment you submit your request until your cards make their way home, the goal is simple: clear communication, careful handling, and no surprises.
